The Commission
The "Commission for the history of the Jews in Hesse" was founded in 1963 under the impression of the Auschwitz trial. Its aims were and are until today to further scholarly research on 950 years of Jewish history in the State of Hesse. This is a unique approach compared to other institutions in Germany.
